Here at the Academy, we are proud to work with young people and we take our responsibilities for child safety as an organization extremely seriously.
We want all our children to be safe at all times and to feel that any issues can be reported. So, it is really important that children, parents, coaches and volunteers have access to appropriate child safety information and are able to report any issues or concerns.
Our recommended process for reporting child safety issues is shown in the four point list below.
You may feel more comfortable skipping one or more of the steps below depending on your circumstances. Therefore the four point process below is only a recommendation in case you are unsure of the process for finding out more information and / or reporting an issue.
- Contact the Coach in charge of your team. A full list of Coach contacts is available here.
- Contact the Academy Child Welfare Officer, Alan Williams. You can email Alan on firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Contact the ‘Think U Know’ website which is an excellent source of information for all child age groups, parents, carers and teachers or trainers.
- Contact the CEOP (Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre) website which aims to help people obtain help and advice. You can make a report to the Police through this website.
