16’s Win in the cup

16’s march on in the cup, this was a fixture the lads had been looking forward too, with players coming back from skiing holidays and trials we thought it would be a tight hard game Against a strong St Pauls team. With some fringe players knocking on the door to get into the team we said it could go one way or another. We started the game trying to knock it around but a couple of strange errors all of a sudden we went one goal down. Keep calm and play the ball around, Kyle started to make his bursting runs and got it out wide, a quality delivery and Jake Evans couldn’t miss from one yard out. We settled down and took control of the game a fantastic strike by Jake Huckerby calmed the team down, with other fringe players itching to get on we made a few changes one being young Mr Scott and wow what an entrance within a minute he banged in a cracker to take 4-1 h/t.  A few  words spoken at half time as in our eyes we could do better and yes they did Luc banged in another two for his hat trick and the scoring was completed by Jake Prince. A good Solid performance but still room for improvement, we now play Grouville in the Semi’s we have set out our goals and the squad are doing a great job on getting us there.

Well done all, Thanks to Alan for doing the line and also Ciaran and Sol for warming up Luke.

Get in there !
