18 A away to Clements

Another cracking morning for a game of football, our 18’s had an away day at St Clements. We had a couple of lads with knocks so we rested them, however I must state the way this group of players are buying into how we want them to play and implementing it into a fantastic attacking way, it’s a joy to watch.
Again we took the game to the solid physical St Clement team from the back right up to the lads up front, Le Maiste, Demps and the fantastic Blamps stopped everything coming through the middle. Joe and Dan also had solid games.
We had over 80% of possession but just couldn’t get that goal, then football being football they got a corner and whipped it in quickly and they went 1 up at least Mat got a touch of the ball he did look lonely at times.
Our front five started to get the ball and play Huckers and Captain Jack with Kyle were fantastic to watch and playing it up to the ever busy Prince supported by our 15 year old magician Sol it was only a matter of time. After a good interchange of football Devo popped up to make 1-1 half time.
We said keep playing and moving the ball and chances will come but we must convert them, that’s what they did Scotty got one Prince got the last and Devo completed his hat trick.
In all this was a good marker to see where this squad is and it’s looking good, so fingers crossed we keep up the fantastic work rate and keep getting the results.
Next up Trinnogs in the cup this coming Thursday.

Thanks again to Alan for running the line it’s a great help.
