18’s match report v St Clements

Well the game for the 18’s v St Clement went ahead, a big thanks goes to Eliot who again stepped up to the plate and went in goal, also by the way he made some fantastic saves throughout the match. The Pitch was a bit of a leveller and at times it was soft under foot so we couldn’t play our free flowing attacking football. The games started with lads slipping about and the official blew for all contact (bit strange as football is a contact sport and it was difficult to keep your balance at times, but we all have opinions ) Anyway Burty boy put us ahead 1-0 with the wind behind with a good finish from a team move. As I said it was a bit of a battle and they got one back only for us to make 2-1 before the break through Kyle. Second period going against the wind we got off to a bad start with Clements making it 2-2. However we made all the running and we Got a Penalty, Up stepped Devo to bang it home. Jake Prince then broke the offside for once trap and made it 4-2 could we see out the game. No they hit a free kick from 47 yards to make it 4-3 just showed they wouldn’t go down without a fight. However with the game coming to an end Burty got a 2nd and Devo completed his 2nd hat trick in two days Well done. The game finished 6-3 a fantastic dogged fight by all involved from St Peter.
We sit Top of the league were we want to stay
