On Friday the 23rd September commencing at 6-30pm at the St Peter’s Clubhouse the Academy will be having an open evening to which you are all invited.
The team coaches will be in attendance together with Head Coach Ian Solomon, Fitness and Conditioning Coach Scott Welsh, Child Protection Officer Alan Williams, Academy Secretary Mary Pack and the Treasurer Paul Crowell. The Chairman Brian Foulser and the Academy Committee will also be in attendance. Please come along and meet with us in an informal manner and enjoy a free barbecue into the bargain. We are interested in your views and opinions and really do look forward to meeting you and talking with you.
It’s an opportunity to meet the team coach who will be responsible for coaching and mentoring your youngsters, to understand how he will be structuring things. Where will he be placing the emphasis in the season ahead? Our new Head Coach Ian Solomon will be happy to explain what he is setting out to achieve and the priorities he will be communicating. Scott Welsh is ready to give valuable advice on diet, strengthening exercises for young players and warm up exercises, to avoid injury. Alan Williams is ready to explain how he sets out to ensure that the young players operate in a safe environment and what action he would take if certain situations arose. Meeting with Mary Pack will enable her to verify that she has all the necessary details on your youngsters and that our information is up to date. Mary will be able to ascertain the correct size of tracksuit to be ordered and issued free on payment of the Academy registration fee. She is also available to explain how our new online kit and accessories shop operates. Mary and Paul Crowell will both be available to receive payment of the Academy registration fees and everyone who has already paid or pays on the evening will be placed in a draw with the winner drawn out of the hat being given their monies back. Brian Foulser and the Committee are ready to explain the fundamental direction the Academy is headed and the exciting plans we have for the season ahead. We also want to hear your opinion as to where we need to improve and what other opportunities we should be addressing.
