Fantastic win for our 15’s

St. Peter’s vs St. Paul’s
Match Report
It was perfect playing conditions this afternoon down at Les Quennevais, St. Peter’s were slow to start in the opening 15 mins and went 1-0 down soon after. However we were quick to respond after Rhys Thomas picks up the ball inside oppositions half, goes on a jinking run and rifles one top corner to make it 1-1.
Jan Bentley quickly made it 2-1 with a simple tap in from a corner at the second time of asking.
Peters were quick out the blocks for the second half with Ryan Marcinko picking up the ball out wide just beyond the halfway line, beats his man and strokes it home for 3-1.
Some very brave goalkeeping from Dan Medcalf denied St. Paul’s of a 2nd. There was the a Long break with 20 mins to go as St. Paul’s striker receives treatment.
Kacsper Smilek goes between the sticks after the restart after Dan goes off injured.
A lapse in concentration led to a St. Paul’s second, making it 3-2.
Some good passing and movement led to another goal. Ryan claims his second of the game curling one past the keeper into the bottom corner.
Ryan wasted no time in completing his Hat trick after breaking into the box and confidently placing it past the keeper for 5-2.
James Carr also gets on the scoresheet after some good work from Ryan down the left once again, unselfishly setting up his strike partner.
With the score now at 6-2 ollie Norton is on the receiving end of a ball played dangerously into the box. The unfortunate touch finds its way past kacsper, who hadn’t put a foot wrong whilst filling in.
The game ends 6-3, a well deserved victory for the St. Peter’s boys. Our next game sees us up against St. Paul’s again in the cup this Thursday.

Man of the match – Ryan Marcinko

Well done boys!

Cheers, Tom Ewing
