What a fantastic weekend of football,  a big thanks to Tom for getting the pitch marked out and making sure the sun was shining.

Friday’s game against the Jersey Centre of Excellence was a game for the purists with both teams playing excellent football, with the Jimmy Johnstone Academy snatching a last minute goal to win 1-0.

The Saturday morning game against St Peters U13’s was once again an excellent game with the Jimmy Johnstone Academy starting very well moving the ball around nicely but slowly the St Peters players found a bit of belief and put in a performance full of energy and passion that the Scottish boys struggled to cope with. There were a number of excellent performances and great team goals scored with St Peters running out 4-1 winners.

Everyone then enjoyed an excellent lunch and watched the first team win 2-0 against St Brelade.

Hopefully this will be the first of a number of visits between St Peters FC and the Jimmy Johnstone Academy.
